A4 OGUNFEMI FOUNDATION DONATES ICT CENTRES & INSTRUMENTATION LABS TO FPI

The A4 Ogunfemi Foundation on 5th of December, 2023 donated six ICT Centers and Instrumentation Laboratories to the Polytechnic community.

While the ICT Centres, (names in bracket) were donated to the Polytechnic Staff Nursery and Primary School, (FPI ALUMNI, UK CHAPTER), Poly International College, (ARC. O. O. ALUKO), Civil Engineering department, (ENGR MRS IK OGUNFAYO) and the Department Arts and Design (SEYI-GBANGBAYAU) the Instrumentation Laboratories were for the departments of Food Technology, (OM MAKANJUOLA) and Agriculture and Bio-environmental Technology (ENGR J. A AKINTADE)

Dr. Ogunfemi Tokunbo, the chairman and founder of the foundation in his speech thanked Almighty Allah for the opportunity given to him to plough back into his alma mata, being an alumnus of the polytecnic.

He urged the staff of the polytecnic to please allow the students full access to the facilities, because, according to him, the students are the major beneficiaries of the resources.

He added that the facilities are meant to put them through so as to make them stand out among their peers when they go out to compete.

A 6.5kva generator was added to the primary school's ICT Centre for regular power supply.

Earlier in the week, the Foundation donated a 6.5 generator and 50 copies of Holy Quran to the Polytechnic Community mosque.

Commissioning the centres and the laboratories, the Rector, Dr Mukail Aremu Akinde appreciated the donor for choosing to donate to the polytecnic. The Rector who promised to be a responsible stewards of the items donated promised to ensure that all the equipment donated will be used for the purpose of enhancing the qualities of curriculum development in the Polytechnic community.

Medals, certifcates and various gift items including laptops were given to deserving individuals.

Present at the occasion were the Deputy Rector, Academics, Dr. Mrs C. B. Iro-Idoro, the Registrar, Mrs A.F Babatola, the Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. (Mrs) B. C. Atulomah, Deans of Schools, HODs, Chairmen and members of the schools management Boards and other members of the Polytechnic community.
