About Dr. Adetokunboh A G Ogunfemi

Dr. Adetokunboh A G Ogunfemi, a renowned philanthropist, is the esteemed Founder and Chairman of A4 Ogunfemi Charity Foundation. Born in the United Kingdom in the mid-60s, Dr. Ogunfemi experienced a childhood deeply rooted in communal parenting and the instillation of discipline and strong values. Raised by a strict disciplinarian father and a hardworking businesswoman mother, he and his siblings were awakened at the early hour of 4:30 am to observe morning prayers and perform household chores before attending school.

Dr. Ogunfemi's family heritage is rich with notable contributions. His late grandfather, Alhaji Nofiu Ajisefini Ogunfemi, hailed from the prosperous business community of Abeokuta and was among the twelve founding fathers of the renowned Nawair-ud-deen Society of Nigeria. Dr. Ogunfemi's parents studied in the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria, and he is the eldest son among his mother's four children and the second of seven children from his late father.

In his educational journey, Dr. Ogunfemi attended Anwarul-ul-Islam College in Agege, Lagos, Nigeria. After completing his secondary education, he pursued studies at institutions such as St. Peter's College in Abeokuta and Sanni Luba Ijebu-ode. He briefly attended the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro. Additionally, he had the opportunity to attend Lagos State University and the University of Lagos Akoka.

Dr. Ogunfemi's professional career spans several countries. He worked briefly as a Quality Control/Laboratory Assistant at "Farmex Merck" in Sango, Ogun State, Nigeria, following his Polytechnic education. Eventually, he emigrated to the United Kingdom, where he has been working in the National Health Service (NHS) for nearly three decades. Over the years, he has held positions at various hospitals and has lectured part-time at a university in England. Additionally, he has been actively involved in medical research for over twenty-seven years.

A member of various professional and religious bodies in the United Kingdom, Dr. Ogunfemi served as the President of a Muslim organization in England and was previously the General Secretary of the Council of Muslims Organization in England. He is also a member of the Egba United Society (EUS) London Branch and the Nawair-ud-deen Society London Branch. Furthermore, he has been honored with an Islamic title by a mosque in England.

Dr. Ogunfemi leads a humble and simple life alongside his beloved wife and four beautiful children in England. Deeply committed to making a difference, he actively engages in charitable endeavors. For the past thirteen years, he has personally selected and awarded scholarships to academically gifted individuals from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring they can continue their educational pursuits. Each year, at least twenty-five students benefit from this charitable program.

He selflessly funds the shipment of these items, which are replaced by hospitals in England with the latest models. Additionally, he supports the well-being of the elderly in Nigeria by shipping genuine medicines from England to be distributed within his community, combating the prevalence of counterfeit medicines in some Nigerian pharmacies.

Dr. Adetokunboh A. G. Ogunfemi, with his profound commitment to philanthropy and his unwavering dedication to improving the lives of those in need, serves as an inspiration to others.

Through his remarkable efforts and the establishment of A4 Ogunfemi Charity Foundation, he continues to create a lasting impact and promote positive change in society.

Paying glowing tribute to the character and achievements of my dear brother Dr A G Ogunfemi, on the occasion of his lunching of his Website is a thing of joy for me. He is one of the mighty pillars of Islam in England who is instrumental in making the faith attractive to the youth, who are now embracing the Islam. 


Dr Adetokunboh Ogunfemi’s simplicity, honesty and integrity is personified. He always sacrificed everything in the service of Al- Islam. 

Dr Ogunfemi did not abandon his ancestral home Ẹgba because he’s residing in England. He’s always going back to the yearly ‘Lisabi Day Celebration,’ where he always give food items, computers and other souvenirs to guests and the staff at the Alake Palace.


Dr Ogunfemi is delighted in helping anyone, especially the downtrodden. Many Students are continuing their education through the scholarships he’s awarding every year to many students.

Dr. (Alh.) A G Ogunfemi is a man of exceptional simple habits. Very great guy, whose greatness is visible in his sympathetic treatment of his non-Muslim friends. Such benevolent and generous treatment of non- Muslims at the hand of Dr A Ogunfemi endeared him to r me and all his friends, thus laying the foundation of a selfless person who wants to start a foundation. 

Unlimited service to humanity is his foremost concern. So many people are on fixed dole from Dr Ogunfemi’s kindness

It is to this  his high moral character that he  possessed that drawn me to him, which are very inspiring. He’s a typical models of all the virtues of Islam.
